LOX-8 is a nonflammable and nontoxic formulation of polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE), that contains a high percentage of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) allowing it to provide excellent lubricity and sealing properties.
LOX-8 is available in both grease and paste, specifically formulated for wet conditions, but can also be used in dry conditions. (For dry conditions, you can also use FORMULA-8 oxygen-safe thread sealant).
Both are high-density, intert thread sealants and lubricants expressly designed for severe high-pressure applications.
LOX-8 remains stable up to 450°F. It is non-flammable and nontoxic.
